Important Information School Safety

WHSD-Police-Badge.jpgDuring the day today (September 12, 2024) we heard that multiple nationwide messages have been circulating on social media threatening violence against schools (NOT specifically Wayne Highlands schools). Some of the threats have specific schools or locations listed, while others are more generic. This evening we were made aware that this information is being shared on social media by our own students.  As a result, concerns were expressed to district officials.   In coordination with the Pennsylvania State Police, posts have been investigated and it has been determined that there are currently no known credible threats to Wayne Highland School District.  The district and the WHSD Police will stay vigilant and continue to collaborate with the Pennsylvania State Police to stay on top of this.

Anyone receiving such messages on social media should report it immediately to the proper authorities in their area or in an emergency call 911.

Thank you
