    CIVIL SERVICE ALERT
     
    New   There is a current need for Wayne and Pike Counties to have qualified candidates on Pennsylvania’s Civil Service employment lists.  Below is some helpful information regarding Pennsylvania Civil Service employment opportunities for any current student, recent graduate, or any family member seeking employment that may assist them in meeting their career goals.
     
    There are positions ranging from clerical/business, nursing, building trades, custodial/food service, casework, cosmetology, human resources, and accounting to name a few in Pennsylvania’s State and County Government at locations within County Assistance Offices (CAOs), State Parks, State Medical Facilities, PENNDOT, Corrections, and many other departments.  This may be ideal for students either not planning to attend college, or students attending Career Technology/Vocational Education with specialized skills, or their parents/family members seeking employment, as well as anyone with a college degree, specialized certification, or specialized skill seeking employment.

    The Civil Service website has “Featured Job Preview” videos for a brief overview of various jobs.  Also found on this website are “Important Notices” and “Immediate Needs” tabs for current/active hiring.

  • Update   The Board of Directors of the Wayne Highlands School District is pleased to make available the “Red and Black Pass” for the exclusive use of residents of the district who are sixty-two years of age and over.  Through this program the Board hopes to provide a service and demonstration of appreciation to those aged sixty-two or over who have served the district in various capacities and remain strong supporters of the school programs and activities.  Red & Black Application Form
